Description
This is a fascinating large antique looking copper chest with wrought iron fixings and wooden lining. It is hard to accurately date as it has no makers markings but looking at the materials used it would seem to date from circa 1900 up to as late as the 1950s and was probably made by a tradesman for his own use. It really does have that treasure chest look and would make a beautiful storage box or if you get fed up with your guests begging to take a peek inside to look for Blackbeard’s treasure it would also make a wonderful planter.
